Tall people silently deal with tall people problems.
Every night, I turn into an endless number of awkward positions just so my feet don’t go over the bed. As if that’s not enough, my blanket almost dwarfs me. And that’s the tipping point for me.
It’s either I choose between having warm feet or cover myself up to the head or shoulders. On some days, I curl up tightly just to enjoy the full experience.
Truth is, like you, I kept up with this for a long till I decided to make the small, but crucial decision of finding blankets for tall people like me.
P.S I’m only 6”4. Couldn’t imagine what taller guys would be going through with this dilemma.
So I spoke to a few towering dudes and swept the internet till I pinpointed a handful of awesome blankets for tall guys. And got myself a pair too.
But I’ll save you the stress of going through all that and give you 5 of the best blankets for tall people on the market. Not to worry, you’d find both affordable and high-end options. (also see top sleeping bags for taller guys)
Let’s get to it.
Best 5 Blankets for Tall People
5. Pendleton Eco-Wise Wool Washable Blanket
Pendleton Woolen Mills is an iconic brand known for decades for producing high-quality wool products and this blanket is no different.
Pendleton’s wool blanket offers comfort, quality, and warmth. Everything you would expect from a top brand.

I love that the Pendleton blanket is eco-friendly. The wool used to produce the blanket are sustainably sourced, this means a lower carbon footprint. The dyes used also come from natural sources.
It is surprisingly breathable despite being made from 100% wool. If well maintained, it is a blanket that could last for a lifetime.

Wool can be scratchy to the skin, so if you have sensitive skin, it might not be a great choice. It is best not to pull the blanket over bare skin.
Pros
- Easy to clean
- Water and stain-resistant
- Eco-friendly
Cons
- Pricey
- It can be rough on the skin
Ratings
- Length: 4/5
- Weight: 4/5

4. CuteKing Weighted Blanket
Weighted blankets are proven to help you get a better night’s sleep, and that’s exactly what CuteKing weighted blanket offers.
Weighted blankets ideally weigh 10% of a sleeper’s weight. Since it comes in four weight options: 10, 15, 20, and 25 pounds, CuteKing is best suited for people that weigh between 100 and 250 pounds.
Key Features

- Premium glass beads fillings
What I Like
Using glass beads instead of plastic beads is a genius idea! It ensures that the blanket is better conforming and gives cooler temperatures.
I was surprised to find out it is made from 100% cotton and still comes at an affordable price. Cotton gives the blanket a good balance between durability, breathability, and comfort that few other materials can match.
What I Don’t Like
While it has multiple lengths and weight options, taller people (6’6 and above) might not find it suitable.
Pros
- It is affordable
- It has multiple weight options
- Quality materials
- Free mending for the first three years of ownership
Cons
- Not suitable for cold temperatures
- It does not come with a duvet cover

MerryLife Throw blankets are huge making them suitable for a variety of uses. Whether to cuddle on your couch or to be used for a picnic, it is certain to provide much-needed warmth.
With a length of 102 inches, it is suitable for most tall people. It also comes in smaller sizes if 102 inches is deemed too long.
Key Features

What I Like
Aesthetically, MerryLife blankets are some of the most attractive. It has a variety of vibrant colours and designs you can choose from.
It is made from polyester fleece which gives it its lightweight and softness. It is an all-purpose blanket that can be used almost anywhere.
What I Don’t Like
Fleece materials are known to shed a lot and it can be quite infuriating. You would notice the fleece all over your clothes and can sometimes ruin it.
Regular washing would help reduce the amount of fleece shed but it would affect the durability of the blanket.
Pros
- Lightweight
- Multiple sizes
- Aesthetically pleasing
- Easy to maintain
Cons
- It sheds horribly
- Falls apart from constant washing
Ratings

2. GrayEagle Bedding All Season Down Comforter
GaryEagle Bedding Company has some of the longest blankets in the market. The Super King size comforter (120”x98”) is larger than most blankets so you won’t have to fight for cover all night.
With this size, a 7 foot (84 inches) basketball player would have this blanket easily cover from head to toe with about 36 inches extra left.
Features
- 100% Microfiber Cover
- Dimensions: 120”x98”
- Hypoallergenic Microfiber Fill
- 116 oz. of Microfiber fill
- Double-needle stitching
- Sewn-through box design
What I Like
Despite the size and length of the blanket, you would assume the manufacturers sacrificed quality but not GaryEagle Bedding Company. This blanket is one of the most comfortable blankets available.
The double-needle stitching ensures that the fillings do not move around. It is super soft and has the length for tall people. You do not have to fight your partner for coverage in the middle of the night as it is wide enough to cover.
What I Don’t Like
The quality of the fillings is not so great. This gives the blanket a not so smooth feel and is quite uncomfortable when in use.
Pros
- Lightweight
- Made from quality material
- It is easy to clean
Cons
- Fillings don’t stay in place
- It causes heat
Ratings
- Length: 5/5
- Weight: 4/5
- Comfort: 4.5/5
- Cleaning: 4.5/5
- Softness: 4.5/5
1. Big Blanket Original Stretch
Big Blanket Co changed the blanket game. They claim to have the “biggest and best blankets in the world”. With their 100 square foot monster blanket, it’s hard to dispute.
The original stretch is big enough to fit a family of six during movie night. It’s also versatile enough to be used for beds, picnics, etc.
Besides, the Original Stretch, the brand also has Premium Woven, XL Weighted, and Premier Plush options. All bigger than your average blanket.

- Weight: 11 pounds
- 95% polyester, 5% spandex
- Machine Washable

What I Like
I can’t stop raving about the size of these blankets. The size sets it apart from other blankets. Big blankets are bigger than an adult Asian elephant! No matter how tall you are, the big blanket’s original stretch would easily cover from head to toe.
Size isn’t all that matters in a good blanket, it has to be soft and cozy. Big blanket checks these boxes.
What I Don’t Like
Nothing is perfect. The major downside to this blanket is also its size. The blanket is too large for anything less than a king-sized bed. It can’t be easily tucked under the mattress.

- Bigger than most king-sized blanket
- Temperature regulating
- It is easy to fold and store
- It is affordable
Cons
- It is heavy
- Easy to lose things in it
Ratings
