Spring is finally here thank f**k…
Unfortunately though it may not feel like that winter has ended all around Australia. Spring can be an unpredictable season – one day it’s perfect beer and bbq weather, the next it’s freezing cold and you’re stuck inside on the couch watching Netflix.
For a lot of people Spring is also the time to update your wardrobe. Put away those winter coats and suddenly realise that you don’t like any of your old t-shirts anymore.
With it’s unpredictability though, Spring can also be one of the harder seasons to shop for. Which is exactly why we have put together some recommendations for you to update your wardrobe, all whilst not breaking the bank!
Load up on some Long Sleeves
Our first tip to give your wardrobe an overhaul would be to look in to getting yourself some long sleeve tees. Not quite a jumper, not quite a t-shirt – the long sleeve is the perfect Spring piece that gives you enough warmth for those chillier days whilst also giving you some versatility:
- Roll up the sleeves if you’re feeling too warm.
- Layer other pieces over the top for when it cools down.
- Wear it over a singlet if there’s a slight chance of the sun showing itself later in the afternoon.
Plus 2 Clothing has you covered for long sleeve tall tees with a Spring special we just launched this week. Grab and 2 for just $50. If you’re not wanting blank long sleeves than we also have a bunch of printed and patterned ones here.
Layer Up with some Tall Tees
This season is all about upping your #layergame
First you’ll need a base layer or under tee as they’re some times referred to. Hell, you can even have something like a curved hem singlet as the base layer to work on top of if it’s a bit warmer.
If you’re working with a long sleeve as the base layer, it’s easy to complete the look with buying one of our contrasting tall tees such as white on black or black on white. Muted and neutral colours are definitely the flavour of this season so you’ll also find greys, blues and olives easy to work with.
Other tips for working with layers:
- Mixing curved hems and straight hems over the top works well.
- Zip-up, button-up jackets,shirts or jumpers are a versatile top layer.
- Destroyed or distressed tops work great as a top layer, see examples here.
We’ve also got a handful of our longline baseball jerseys left in stock if you’re looking for something stylish and unique for this season. Can easily be worn by itself or over the top of a base layer. Because it’s black it will work with just about any colour or style.
