My partner is 6’5 and a ‘standard’ L size across the shoulders, so when we found +2 it was a breath of fresh air to finally find clothing long enough to cover his belly button (although he does look great in belly tops lol).
He has bought hoodies and Tee’s in the past and we did find the thickness and quality of the hoodies now wasn’t quite as good as a few years back.

Tips for sizing- hoodies we get XL just for any shrink factor.
