I’m genuinely impressed with its performance. The flexibility provided by the SuperStretch limestone-based neoprene is great, allowing for extended surf sessions without tiring out my arms. The chest zip design enhances flexibility further while preventing cold water leaks, a feature I found particularly useful. Also, the addition of a key loop behind the chest zipper is a thoughtful touch for practicality during water activities.

What I Don’t Like About This Wetsuit

While my overall experience with the Ho Stevie! Wetsuit was positive, there were a few drawbacks. The neck entry design, while effective in minimizing water leakage, posed challenges during both wear and removal.

I gotta say, I’m pretty stoked about the Divmystery wetsuit. First off, the price caught me off guard – in a good way. In practical terms, the wetsuit was flexible, providing a decent experience for water activities. The front zipper convenience, highlighted by its ease of use during surfing, stood out as a practical feature.  Plus, it held up well in chilly weather, keeping me cozy.

What I Don’t Like About This Wetsuit

While the wetsuit is good, there were a couple of drawbacks worth mentioning. The cut of the suit, specifically around the throat area, felt off and exerted some discomfort when fully zipped up. The front zipper, though convenient, was a little too short, causing challenges during doffing, especially when the suit was wet. Additionally, the absence of expandable zippered cuffs added some effort to the donning and doffing process, particularly when dealing with a wet suit.

Taking it off might require a bit of a dance. The absence of a back zipper makes it stressful to remove this wetsuit after a swim. As a warning, this wetsuit is only suitable for “tall and lanky guys” even though it’s available up to 4XL. If you’re a huge guy, more specifically, over 200 pounds, you may find it extremely difficult to fit in this drysuit.

It also can be hard work on the body and the last thing you need to worry about it ill-fitting clothing whilst you’re out trying to enjoy the great outdoors.

Being over 6ft5 we’re pretty used to the struggles of finding pants that fit. Previously we have written on finding snow pants and hiking poles for the vertically gifted.

The Ferrosi pants have a movement-mirroring stretch, are comfortable, and abrasion-resistant. A perfect blend for pants you’d take on long hikes.

What I Like About This Product

I like Outdoor Research Ferrosi pants because they are very comfy, stretchy pants with a lightweight fit. Anytime I see a lightweight product, my hair tingles, hoping to find out if it’s also functional.

The Ferrosi pants sure were worth it. They are multi-functional. They are also lightweight, so much so you wonder if they are cheap pants. But, in fact, they are durable enough to survive rugged climbing expeditions.

The cinch cords at the ankles of the Ferrosi pants give it a sort of universal inseam.

On the chance that these pants are too long, the cinch cord would tuck the fabric in smartly. So they don’t drop over shoes or have you squeeze them in your boots like fatigues. Anyway, I doubt you’d need them.

What I Don’t Like About This Product

One of my biggest pet peeves is wearing pants with small pockets.

It can be more excruciating when it’s on a hiking pant, for that matter. I don’t particularly appreciate how I fear losing my phone. Or having objects bulge in my pockets.

What I Like About This Product

Lefroy lightweight pants blow my mind with their superb construction. The unique nylon material is sweat-wicking and stretchy.

I love my fleece jacket and other pants with a similar type of material. They have a refreshing feel on the skin you walk in them.

On long sweaty hikes, they show their superpower. A few seconds or minutes after stopping to catch a breath or camp, they dry up fast. And I don’t have to bother about a sweat patch or the pants stinking afterward.

Unlike the Outdoor Research pants, they have sizable pockets – not the most you’d see in hiking pants, but big enough.

What I Don’t Like About This Product

They fit like designer jeans, which isn’t bad. Except they cost just as much.

In retrospect, maybe that explains why the pants also have short and almost nonfunctional fly zippers. 

You also need to order a size or two up your waist measurement for the perfect fit.

The side pockets seem like they are made to fit a Nokia 3310 cellphone. It can’t fit my relatively large smartphone, and that shouldn’t be much to ask in this age.

Trust me, that little ounce counts.

What I Like

As a person that sweats a lot, I appreciate this innovation. I do not have to worry about bacteria spreading all over my body as I work out or perform any outdoor activity with this rash guard.

What I Don’t Like

While the sizes range up to 3X large, they are not true to fit especially for taller people. You would need to order up from your original size to find one that fits.

What I Like

What I Don’t Like

This rash guard stains quite easily. What’s worse? The stains don’t come off easily from washing. After some time, it could even get discoloured.

First, I’ll admit comfort when it comes to sleeping pads. Unlike you, some tall folks just no longer bother about finding a pad that fits them out of frustration.

Many would instead settle for an undersized sleeping pad and wear a backpack over their feet for warmth. Imagine a 6’9ft guy sleeping on a pad meant for someone that’s at most 6ft tall.

In this light, I took the time and pleasure to dig up some of the best sleeping pads for tall guys like you. It’s a sweet mix of comfort, quality, and value for towering guys.

5. Wellax Ultralight Air Sleeping Pad

Comfort and durability are assured when you go for the Wellax Ultralight Sleeping Pad. Despite it being so cheap, you won’t feel your hips digging into the ground or experience leaks when in use.

What I Like About This Product

There are tons of cheap name brands that make ideal sleeping pads for a short stay outdoors. Or perhaps for relaxation on cold tiles when indoors, due to their affordability.

But this Wellax Ultralight Air camping mat is one of the few, and the only one I know that fits tall persons. At least, it’d size 6’6ft frame comfortably from head to toe.

But that’s just the tip. It’s also relatively wide, which is more appreciated by a tall person with broad shoulders. This way, there’s some room to roll over without the fear of falling off.

What I Don’t Like About This Product

Its mode of inflation is old-school. After a long day’s hike, the few breaths it takes to inflate can be priceless. Nevertheless, it deflates quickly in case you want to leave in a rush. That’s a truce.

You might get too comfortable and roll off from the excitement of the excess sleeping real estate. But the straight-lined grooves would keep you cradled on the sleeping pad.

What I Don’t Like About This Product

Weighing almost 3.5 pounds, it’s heavy in backpacking lingo. If you’re cool with trading luxury and warmth for a few extra pounds of load, go for it.

What I Don’t Like About This Product

It claims to have a 4.4 r-value but doesn’t seem to be so. If you intend to hike at a temperature even below 30 degrees F, it starts to show.

What I Like About This Product

There’s nothing to hate about sleeping on this mat. It almost feels like sleeping on a memory foam mattress. Yet, it can be super firm if that’s you prefer that as a side sleeper.

Moreover, its insulation is top-notch and would’ve had a top-charting R-Value – if it were specified. But from experience, you’d still stay warm on a night with a temperature as low as 2 degrees celsius.

What I Don’t Like About This Product

Being the super sleeping pad it is, it lacks speedy inflation and deflation. It’s the kind of pad you’d sit on to let the air out of it completely for repacking.

And it’s not exactly a great option for backpacking. It weighs over 5 pounds, which can quickly become a burden while hiking even short trails.

What I Like About This Product

This pad is all it claims to be. From super comfortable, warm, firm, to easy to pump.

But what I really love about it is that it doesn’t let out loud squawks each time you turn on it. And its pump sack makes it painlessly easy to inflate or deflate the pad.

Nemo doesn’t use an R-value rating, but this sleeper can most definitely be used in frigid temperatures. It’s rated 10 to 20F, which is way below freezing levels.

What I Don’t Like About This Product

I haven’t seen any negative issue that stands out with the Nemo Tensor as at the time of this writing. Except that it’s not the best for tall guys leaning towards being a giant (6″ 7 and above).  And it makes the typical “squeak squeak” sound when you roll in it. But only less noisy and annoying compared to other sleeping pads.

Being 6’6″ and growing up around beaches, i’m definitely no stranger to going a dive or snorkel on the weekend.

I have taken in to consideration things such as open or closed heel fin, barefoot or diving booties, and most importantly whether the fin is comfortable enough to accommodate your large feet.

Whether you’re a beginner or advanced diver/snorkeler – hopefully this list makes sure you have comfortable feet whilst you explore the waterways.

5. Mako Spearguns Freedive Hunter Fins 

Mako produces a variety of fins but I’ve chosen this because it is probably the best snorkeling fin for diving beginners with big feet.

What I Like

Mako brand fins are large! Unlike other brands that you usually have to order for a size up for your big feet to find one that fits you. With Mako brands, you can order for your actual size and be sure that it would fit right.

The Mako fins are fragile. Despite being made from quality materials, many users have made complaints about its durability. 

A customer claimed that the fin broke in half when he accidentally dropped it.

While Tilos Snorkeling fins are made for people with large feet, the largest size for men is size 13. People with a foot size greater than 13 would miss out.

What I Don’t Like

I am not a fan of the travel fins in terms of its limited speed and power. It has decent power and speed in low current waters, but when swimming against strong currents, the ScubaPro Go Fin doesn’t offer enough power. 

They tend to be small if you do not wear them barefoot. If you want to wear it with a dive bootie, you would purchase a vastly oversized one.
